February Award

We were delighted to present Jessica with a Wrexham Recognition Award. Jessica is a year 11 pupil at Ysgol Clywedog and has been singing her little heart out since she was just 4 years old.
Jessica loves to sing!
She regularly sings in school concerts and loves a karaoke, the big power ballads are her favourite, and she can even rap.
Her music teacher tells her she is a confident performer, particularly adept at learning music and the technical details, she has a good ear for music. She has auditioned for the voice aged 7. But the feedback was she was too young and wasn’t ready.
She is not afraid to tackle songs by Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey and Lady Gaga.
However, her top three favourites are:

‘Hurt’ by Christina Aguilera
‘Like I’m gonna lose you’ by Meghan Trainor
We have been lucky to hear Jessica sing, she has a beautiful voice, she tells her she would like to continue singing in the future and we wish her well with her future!
