Stephanie Butterton
May 2025

Nominated by her daughter Nicole,
I'd like to nominate my mother, she is an amazing person, not just because she is my mum but because she is the most selfless and caring person I know.
My mum has raised over £3000 for different charity's by holding Prize bingo evenings in which ALL profits go to the dedicated charity of that night.
On this evening (21st Nov 2024) she raised a total of £1568 (with proceeds still being added) in aid of the Toy Appeal to get toys for the children who don't have much. Tomorrow morning, she will go a local store and purchase toys for all age groups to be donated to the Toy Appeal.
My mum did the same last year when mecca bingo held a collection, she arrived with 7 trolleys worth of toys ☺️
My mum has held bingo's for Chariotts a company to help the less able get around raising over 1000 pound again to aid with the cost of fuel and government cuts to their budget.
Wrexham outreach team- She raised a total of £1100.50 to help buy the homeless of Wrexham essential items. Not only this but she dedicates her time and effort every week to attend the meetings on a Wednesday. Some weeks she even cooks meals with the help of us 4 daughters to distribute to the homeless.
She has held bingos for Morris dancing troupes to fund for dresses and coach costs for the dancers to get around and have a fighting chance of competing in competitions.
The local football team, to raise money for new kits and balls. the list could go on, and she is now prepared to organise another bingo for the Morris dancing troupe.
I couldn't think of anyone more deserving than her to be nominated and recognised.
My mum has had her own battles in life with having a stroke at the age of 28 leaving her unable to use the left side of her body with me and my sisters all under the age of 8.
Not once has she given up her fighting spirit.
So, I'd love to nominate her.
My inspiration, a person I aspire to be like. My mum Stephanie Butterton.
