Jeffrey Chrimes

Jeffrey walked away from an abusive marriage where he was physically and mentally abused for 20 years.
At 70 years of age, with the help of friends and the support of The Rainbow Foundation, Jeffrey has turned his life around.
In October 2023 Jeff joined The Rainbow Foundation’s Over 65 Keep fit class, which has enabled him to regain his strength and improve his mobility.
The Rainbow Foundation supports active ageing charity and provides services to improve the health and wellbeing of elderly people, living in the rural communities of South Wrexham.
One of the instructors at the Keep Fit class suggested Jeff take part in the Wrexham 10k.
In April 2024, along with employees from the The Rainbow Foundation and friends who have helped Jeff settle in Bronington in Wrexham, and despite having an ulcer on the bottom of his foot and some big hills to climb, Jeff completed Wrexham 10k, raising over £300 for The Rainbow Foundation.
Jeff trained for this event for 2-3 months, doing lots of walks, getting faster and faster. His next challenge will be taking part in the Wales Motorcross Championship on his Montessa 250cc 1974 bike.
