Liam Cavanagh

A community hero who serves in the British Army, with unwavering commitment, awarded the King’s Jubilee Medal, the Queen’s Jubilee medal and the Estonia Medal, but his devotion to Wrexham goes beyond his military duties.
He attends veterans’ funerals to honour their service, lends his time to community projects, like building playground equipment at Gwenfro Valley Zipline and has helped with essential work at Brymbo Heritage Trust, as well as being a vital member of the Wrexham Round Table, volunteering tirelessly to support fundraisers, organising local events. Whether he is climbing Snowdonia, racing rafts or project managing local events Liam’s passion and dedication are unmatched.
He’s more than just a volunteer, he’s a role model, a friend and an absolute superstar. Wrexham is lucky to have him. Liam deserves this recognition for his selfless contributions to making Wrexham a brighter, stronger community.
