Paul Edwards
2019- from the Principality Stadium Cardiff to the Racecourse Ground Wrexham, 150.8 miles, in 4
days.
2020- from Fort William, Scotland to Penycae, Wrexham, climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and
Snowdon on the way! A solo, unsupported walk of 640 miles in 22 days.
2021-from John O’Groats to Land’s End, dressed as Deadpool (inspired to wear this costume as he is
a season ticket holder at Wrexham AFC which Ryan Reynolds now co-owns with rob McElhenney).
During the walk he visited Hope House and walked past the Racecourse on his way. As fate would
have it the Wrexhamfx film crew, were filming the “Welcome to Wrexham” documentary series and
came out to talk to Richard and filmed him! He appears in Ep 3 of the series, in his Deadpool
costume. The 971 miles walk took 39 days.
In addition to the fund raising for Hope House, Richard also does charity walks for local causes,
community centres and schools.
2023- In January 2023 Richard is planning his biggest walk ever.
He is off to AMERICA!
He will walk solo and unsupported from Ocean Beach in San Diego, California on the Pacific coast of
the USA, to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on the Atlantic coast. A distance of approximately 2,800
miles and this challenge again with be raising funds for Hope House/Ty Gobaith children’s hospices.
Well done Richard, fantastic charity work, you are an inspiration!
