Ellie Doughty

We have great pleasure in recognising Ellie Doughty for her contribution to music. Ellie was born and lives in Caia Park and is a year 10 pupil at Ysgol Clywedog. Ellie is very proud of where she comes from and is determined to be successful in life.
Ellie has been singing for as long as she can remember, but really started to take things seriously when she was 10 years old. She started performing at school and entering small community competitions and auditioning for Britain’s Got Talent. 
Auditions were held for the Llangollen International Eisteddfod,in 2022. Ellie successfully auditioned, performed in the finals and won with a breath-taking, flawless performance.
Ellie notes Amy Winehouse as one of her main musical influences. Her head of Music at Ysgol Clywedog has told us that Ellie is passionate about singing, practises regularly, constantly striving for improvement. He tells us that she can always be depended on to give her utmost to a performance.
Ellie has lots of dreams, her ambition is to study at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts and hopefully secure a career in the music industry.
